DEADPOOL Actor Ryan Reynolds Set To Star In New Sci-Fi Adventure BERMUDA TRIANGLE
It's been quite a while since we've heard anything about Skydance Productions' planned sci-fi adventure Bermuda Triangle, but a new report now indicates that Ryan Reynolds is set to play the male lead...
Just over a year ago we heard that Spider-Man director Sam Raimi was heading-up a new sci-fi adventure flick at Skydance Productions called Bermuda Triangle, but there hasn't been a peep about the project since.
However, we now have some casting details as well as a plot synopsis courtesy of our friends over at That Hashtag Show.
According to them, Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool 2, Green Lantern) is in line to play the male lead opposite a female submarine commander who has yet to be cast.
The plot outline sounds a little on the silly side, but depending on the tone they go for it could definitely work.
"When a massive submarine carry nuclear weapons goes missing in the Bermuda Triangle, Commander Vogel enlists the help of Dr. Fisk (Likely Reynolds) a theoretical physicist, who while using his grandfather's research opens a wormhole to reveal a mysterious island that is inhabited by anything lost in the triangle including Sharks, Vikings, and Nazis, in the hopes of finding the nuclear weapons."
This has yet to be confirmed by the trades, but at this point THS have beaten them to so many scoops, it's probably only a formality.
Bermuda Triangle is currently scheduled to commence production this September and should wrap sometime in October. Raimi will direct from a script by John Gatniss (Power Rangers), with Annihilation’s Don Granger, David Ellison, and Dan Goldberg on board as producers.
