Last summer, The Maze Runner, an adaptation of James Dashner's dystopian young-adult sci-fi series of the same name, managed to turn a modest budget of $34 million into a surprise hit with a total gross of over $340 million. The film was received well by fans and critics alike and was quickly greenlit for a sequel, The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials.

Not too long ago, Entertainment Weekly & People both released three stills each giving us our first look at the film. Check them out below:

Thomas (O'Brien) and his fellow Gladers face their greatest challenge yet: searching for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization known as W.C.K.D. Their journey takes them to the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles. Teaming up with resistance fighters, the Gladers take on W.C.K.D.'s vastly superior forces and find out they are being used as one big experiment.

On an unrelated note, I've been catching up on Mad Men and am convinced Jay R. Ferguson could pull off Negan on the Walking Dead if he bulked up even more. My first pick is still Henry Rollins.

I watched the first one for "free" during a flight and thought it was pretty good. I won't watch it in the theaters but I'll rent it.

I thought the first movie was very good when i watched it. But I finished reading the first book yesterday and opinion changed slightly. They changed a lot. But I guess the movie worked alone. Anywho, excited for the Scorch Trials.

Idk if I want O' Brian for Spidey. He would make a great witty spider-man but I would rather have someone who can play both witty and geeky Peter. O' Brian could potentially be another Andrew Garfield

I'm still rooting for Asa Butterfield for Spidey, but I wouldn't be mad if Dylan got the role.
