Warner Bros. have today released the first teaser poster for Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated movie, Interstellar. This is the director’s first movie since he wrapped The Dark Knight Trilogy up in 2012. For those of you unfamiliar with the few plot details revealed so far, “Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.” With a cast which includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn, and Michael Caine, Interstellar boasts perhaps the most impressive line-up of actors from any 2014 movie. Nolan’s last non-Batman related picture was Inception, a movie which earned over $825 million worldwide. After that and the success of The Dark Knight Rises, Interstellar should be even bigger! A release date of November 7th, 2014 has been set for the movie.

Can't. Freaking. Wait. That original teaser was an awesome throwback to how TEASERS are supposed to be, and I love how it gave absolutely nothing away. It set up the theme, the tone, and a few brief shots of the lead. Definitely one of my most anticipated films this year.

@Pasto, soforizo, & DrunkenPirateNukem: So I'm guessing patriarchal bigotry is cool with you guys? Good to know...

Seriously, what marketing team in their right mind would put "mankind" and not "humanity" on the poster? If you want to make the film appealing to women, using a gender exclusive term like that is a big no-no.
