To celebrate the release of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, we're offering one lucky ComicBookMovie.com reader the chance to get your hands on three gorgeous art prints for Valerian: City of Alpha, a mobile game available on iOS and Android this month before the film’s release on July 21st. The interstellar strategy game takes place in the years that lead up to the beginning of the film and delves into the backstory of the ever-expanding metropolis of Alpha. The game looks awesome!

For your chance to win, all you need to do is follow the simple instructions below. Then, check out the trailer and take a closer look at the three amazing art prints you could potentially get your hands on!

In Valerian: City of Alpha, you’ll get to experience, firsthand, the thrill of creating this "City of a Thousand Planets." The interstellar mobile strategy game takes place in the years that lead up to the beginning of the film and allows you to interact with all of the unforgettable and uber cool alien worlds that Besson and his production team are about to put on the big screen.

Put your strategy and optimization skills to the test while you blast through the vastness of space searching for previously undiscovered worlds and alien species. You’ll get to explore some pretty dangerous corners of the universe and there’s no telling what’s out there! You might wind up stranded on a bizarre planet where sound doesn’t exist or fleeing back to your shuttle after negotiations with a primitive tribe of interstellar warriors doesn’t quite go as planned.  But that’s not all. You’ll need to hire new agents to help you out along the way, release probes to scan previously unexplored zones and match species strengths to unlock special bonuses.

Went Opening Night in 3D.
Put this into "What Could Have Been" category.

You know that saying "Stop trying to make Fetch Hapoen!"
That is what I would say about the Lead Actors.

Nothing about it makes sense...from chemistry to their lauded Military records while only looking like 20 years old.

And the dialogue was...:-(

So much imagination in this film and yet the script was not quality.

@IronGenesis - that's a shame because visually it looked incredible

I knew this wouldn't do well... and not because it doesn't look pretty good. I mean honestly, it looks stunning.

People wonder why Hollywood doesn't work on new ideas anymore.

@Kman - if this film looked good AND had a good script with bankable stars who had chemistry and STILL bombed...then I would be very discouraged.

This film deserved to bomb.

@IronGenesis - I didn't see it... so im gonna take your word for it. Too bad too, the trailer really blew my mind when I saw it in theaters.

It failed because it looks like one of those pre-teen sci-fi movies like hunger games, divergent etc. Where the main leads are white suburban looking kids that don't look a bit of they lived hard lives in this dystopian future, people are sick of that, people now want to see diversity, like Homecoming

This movie "tanked so hard"? This movie "bombed"? This movie "failed"?

What are you people talking about? Have you even seen it? It's been out 4 days in the US, 4, and it's not out anywhere else in the world, including Europe where it has been made, and Asia where there are a ton of Besson fans. Also, the movie had already made back 96% of its budget in presales before even being released. It can't really bomb, except in terms of image for Besson's studio and foreign cinema.

Will it be a relenting success? Probably not. But will it make enough to be considered a success in Europe, like Lucy or Taken, and allow its studio to continue to survive, maybe even grow? I hope so, which is the entire point. Not everything can be Jurassic World and make a billion. It's already the biggest movie ever made in Europe, that alone is an achievement, and if it makes as much as Lucy, which neared 500 million, it will be pretty damn good, especially for a french movie.

It's one thing to cast unknowns, this film cast actors people actively dislike.
