Tonight’s premiere for the third season of AMC’s Humans featured plenty of pulse-pounding moments. For starters, the first episode picked up years after the events of the Season 2 finale, and sees synths facing more hardships than ever. Then, to make matters worse, synth bombers attack a bar which allows humans and synths to intermingle, and tragedy befalls Max and his group of synths when Flash is killed by vengeful humans. After this, the police storm the synths' home, where Agnes finally takes a stand, putting everyone at risk and giving us an intense cliffhanger.

While things ended on a tense note, the promo for next week episodes reaffirms that most of the major players will survive tonight’s events. Though, that’s not to say it will be smooth sailing from here on out, as Mattie and Niska deal with an injured Leo, and Agnes continues to cause trouble for the peace-seeking Max.

Check out the new promo and sneak peek for episode two below:

"Episode 2"

Max faces the consequences of his decision. Laura discovers she's not being told everything at the Dryden Commission. Joe uncovers Karen's secret.
