Matthew McConaughey Confirms He'll Star In Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR
We had heard that Nolan had offered the lead role of "Cooper" to the Magic Mike actor, and now McConaughey has confirmed that he has accepted. There are very few new details aside from that unfortunately, but read on for what we know..
That was quick! usually after we hear a director or studio is courting a certain actor for a role, weeks go by before we have any follow up news one way or the other, but Matthew McConaughey has revealed to The Star Tribune that he will indeed star in The Dark Knight trilogy director Christopher Nolan's new sci-fi flick, Interstellar. Apparently they reached out to the actor for confirmation, and he replied with simply “I’m confirming” and left it at that. Understandable given the level of secrecy that usually surrounds Nolan's movies. Interstellar has a release date of November 7th, 2014, and was originally written by Chris' brother Jonah for Steven Spielberg (who was then attached to direct). Story details are also under wraps, but it is said to involve “time travel and alternate dimensions and sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole.”
