More Makeup Tests & Concept Art For Ridley Scott's I AM LEGEND (Unmade)

Two years ago, Academy Award-winning effects company, StudioADI, released makeup tests of vampire-like creatures that were created for Ridley Scott's I Am Legend, which was never made. Now they've uncovered more tests and concept art. Come see.

In 1997, director Ridley Scott ("Alien") hired StudioADI to put together makeup tests for the vampire-like creatures ('Hemocytes') that would've appeared in his version of I Am Legend. The film would've starred Arnold Schwarzenegger ("The Terminator"), but Warner Brothers killed the project in March of 1998 due to budgetary concerns. In 2012, StudioADI released a video filled with the makeup tests and since it was so popular they went digging into their archive for more makeup tests and concept art, which you can view in their latest video.
Scott's I Am Legend would've been loosely-based on Richard Matheson's 1954 horror-fiction novel of the same name. Nearly a decade after WB pulled the plug on Scott's I Am Legend, WB gave the greenlight to Francis Lawrence ("The Hunger Games: Catching Fire") to direct his take on I Am Legend, which starred Will Smith ("Men In Black") and used computer-generated Hemocytes. It generated $586 million at the worldwide box office.

Well, only Vincent Price was in less loosey adaptation of the novel, even that still wasn't enough.

Actually, Scott's version was a pretty cool and could've been better than what we got with Will Smith.

Something is wrong here...well 2 things really.

1. Gusto is first. How does someone with rheumatoid arthritis and elephantitis of the nuts type faster than anyone else?

2. Two people got banned today for saying they wished a character would die on a TV show...

What the [frick] is wrong around here?

Of course Gusto's seen it, lol. I actually agree with the old [frick] for once.

That's pretty cool stuff.

I just saw a picture, which I won't post but will describe.

So there is this amazingly clean gym. Like the gym is super clean. So clean it might be new! It's breathtaking really. There happens to be this lady stretching in the picture too. She is stretching her hamstrings and takes up a disproportionate amount of the picture. Specifically, her long legs and round buttocks.

But man...that gym is CLEAN! I wish my gym was that clean.

Key word "make-up" test! Already full of win. That's what Hollywood needs. More Make-up effects and less digital work. Unless it's a character that NEEDS cgi to be adapted to the fullest potential. Reasons why you honestly can't hate Ridley...

@Gusto
The Omega Man was and is still one of my favorite movies. Yeah, I remember seein' as a kid, and they were creepy as hell. Plus, I liked the soundtrack for it, sorta set the mood for the movie.

What could have been. I'm still bummed Ridley never got to do this. I haven't liked Francis Lawrence's last 3 movies.

Someday maybe someone will actually make a faithful movie adaptation of the novella. The Will Smith pile of shit was just plain insulting to Richard Matheson's legacy. All they kept was the title. At last the two earlier movies (The Last Man On Earth with Vincent Price and Omega Man with Charlton Heston) had the decency not to use the title and throw away the story.

i like the Will Smith's version EXCEPT the clearly fake-looking CG'd creatures. now, this makes me wanna watch the Ridley Scott's version WITH Will Smith in the lead.
