A brand new full-length trailer for Mortal Engines is now online, and it looks like it's shaping up to be an exciting fantasy adventure.

The movie is based on the award-winning series of novels by Philip Reeve, and will be produced by LOTR director Peter Jackson. Former Weta VFX supervisor Christian Rivers will helm the film, which stars Hugo Weaving, Hera Hilmar, Robert Sheehan, Jihae, Ronan Raftery, Leila George, Patrick Malahide, and Stephen Lang.

The premise is certainly an intriguing one, as gigantic moving cities roam the earth thousands of years after civilization was destroyed by a cataclysmic event.

Check out the trailer along with a new poster below and let us know what you think. Mortal Engines is set to hit theatres on December 14.

Looks quite steampunky, but the plot will be the usual YA fare.

I like the part where it reminds me of the Final Fntasy games.

@MasterMix - i absolutely loved him as V. He was so incredible in that role. The rest didn’t do anything for me though. Red Skull was particularly disappointing.

Eh. Honestly, the Bumblebee trailer enticed me more. The acting for the Anna Fang character is more robotic than him.
