Jurassic Park meets Planet of the Apes meets... Turok?

Sony Pictures (via SFFGazette.com) has debuted an exciting international trailer for prehistoric sci-fi thriller, 65, featuring plenty of new dino action.

The footage begins with Adam Driver's astronaut, Mills, crash-landing on an unknown, uncharted planet... which turns out to be Earth 65 million years in the past!

While traversing the treacherous terrain, he encounters one other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), and together they attempt to reach an escape pod while coming up against a whole host of lethal dinosaurs - including a massive Tyrannosaurus Rex, and what could be a Velociraptor.

According to the updated synopsis: "Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills (Driver) and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive.”

65 was written and directed by A Quiet Place scribes Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who also produced under their recently-formed Beck/Woods banner along with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness director Sam Raimi.

Check out the new trailer and poster below, and let us know what you think.

A movie would be great where the colonizers arrive in the Americas and they discover that the dinosaurs survived in the new continent and Aztecs, Mayans and Dinosaurs inhabit the jungles. The colonizers are slaughtered by Jurassic reptiles.

@Repian - But the dinos don't want to eat the Aztecs or Mayans?
Kinda sus.

@Feralwookiee - The Aztecs or Mayas could be thousands of years in the same territory as the Dinosaurs. They learn to survive and dinosaurs can be part of their culture.

The story is about how the colonizers discover the new continent and its dangers.

There’s got to be more than just the two survivors. Or else who are the dinosaurs going to stomp, eat, and otherwise eviscerate?

@Stinkor1 - that was exactly what I was worried about…reminds me of avp. Kill the first 2 of 3 predators in the first 15mins and you know the other is gonna survive until the end at least…

Something mysterious going on with the title and taglines about "65 million years ago humans discovered Earth". I thought we evolved on Earth, not discovered it. Interesting.

I thought it was humans from another planet landing on earth when I saw the word “discover”

And on that note, I wanna see predators take on dinosaurs
