Predators is directed by Nimrod Antol and stars Topher Grace, Adrian Brody, Danny Trejo, Laurence Fishburne and Alice Braga. Screenplay co-written by Robert Rodriguez, Michael Finch and Alex Litvak. It is due in theaters July 7th.

Steve Weintraub from Collider was nice enough to grab these stills from the Predaters sneak peak trailer.

tea: I don't see how it could be bad. The first two were great. This seems to follow along the same lines.

First two... is a bit of an overstatement. The Danny Glover sequel was quite terrible as I remember, especially compared to the Arnold original. However, the first film stands as one of the best action films to date.

Then there was Alien vs Predators and AVP: Requiem which were guilty pleasures, but a bit underwhelming.

That said, this film looks fantastic judging from the sneak peak footage.

Internapse: The second movie was very good. I think the only problem with it was the fact that it followed the first one. The first, as you said is a classic that can still after all these years compare with any film today. Thats a lot to live up to for a sequel. I think Glovers was awesome, all things considered.

The last two as you said are great rainy days with a beer movie, nothing more.

Internapse: I agree that Danny Glover's Predator was PURE crap! Now Arnold and his cast of merry men Im afraid wont be duplicated with this latest version. Im sure it's going to be better than the Glover Crap-Ola and the other two Predators movies that I didnt think were so bad.

laurence fishbourne is in it???? why was i not informed of this...or is it that guy off of stargate sg 1? i can never tell those 2 apart :\ anyway looks great,im more of an aliens man but looks fun

@telavizion: only the black Predator has these fangs, the others are "normal". If we look at this pic, the fangs are with the helmet.

Swweeeeeeet pics!!! Hope it is a good movie so FOX can get the ball roling on a new AVP. And this time it should be what every movie fan wants. Set in Space with marines that can fight back and be on par with the Predators and the Aliens, not some pansy idiots on Earth geting their collective butts kicked all over the place.

July can't come soon enough.

THE HUNTER AND HIS HUNTING "DOG" IS A PRETTY AWSOME IDEA..I LIKE THIS..ITS A NEW TAKE WITH THE OLD FEEL, BRINGING IT BACK TO PREDATOR ONE, LIKE WITH THE OLD CREW OF MILITARY BAD BOYS BUT THIS TIME JUST A VARIETY OF FRESH MEET WITH TRICKS TO EACH OF THEIR TRADES, PLUS THE PSYCHOLOGY OF EACH CHARACTER MAKING SOME OF THE HUNTED DANGEROUS TO EVEN THE OTHER HUNTED HUMANS, THIS MIGHT BE REALLY REALLY GOOD

My biggest problem with this trailer, is the minigun. It was very cool in the first one, mostly because it was the first action movie that featured a hand-held minigun, but to bring it back just adds cliche.
I'm not a big fan of Rodriguez. El Mariachi and Desperado were great, but that's about it. It's ok if he likes to use the same cast over and over, but he also uses the same props, gadgets, and scenarios over and over. I hope he doesn't have too much control over this movie.
But I agree with some of the comments, there are a lot of good actors in this cast, so the script must be pretty good....

But why does it look like Predator Jr in the picture third one from the bottom? Will we be watching a movie about a powerful relationship between a father and son Predator bonding while they slaughter humans? lol

The Predadog looks awesome, but that funny new Predator is crap. Do you really need a more ugly & dangerous Predator? What's the point?

i can't wait for this.

oh, and Predator 2 was a great movie. it introduced us to much of the Predator mythos that i don't think a lot of people realize.

we got to see that they are interglactic trophy hunters, which we didn't know in the first one. we got to see the trophy case, which was also the very first time there was a hint that the Predators and Aliens exist in the same universe. (the trophy case in Pred 2 is what started the whole AvP Comic series).

we learned that preds prefer the hotter climates, like the rain forest in the first movie, and then in Pred 2, he shows up during a heat wave. AND we learned that Preds have been coming to Earth for MANY years.

i loved the second as much as the first.

@OSCURO But we luv the character already. As it already exists. No need for add ons & tweeks. They scary as shyte. We dont want a repeat of the Predalien now, do we?
