Seven years on from the events of Monsters, the ‘Infected Zones’ have spread worldwide. Humans have been knocked off the top of the food chain, with disparate communities struggling for survival. American soldiers are being sent abroad to protect US interests from the Monsters, but the war is far from being won.

don't know the tone yet, but if they missed the point as badly as it seems, this is tragic. the whole point of monsters, just like the point of starship toopers, is that the monsters were us. looks like another cash-grab sequel that turns it around to make humans the good guys.

Considering the first film was incredibly boring and didn't capitalize at all on the actual monsters, I'm happy and laughing that they turned the sequel into an action film. It's crazy because it actually looks more interesting as an action film, maybe it'll go deeper into the mythos.

I loved the first one. The lack of action was one of the many reasons it was so good.

Are you guys serious? The first one SUCKED! THERE ARE NO MONSTERS WHATSOEVERRRRR!!!! AND THE CHARACTERS SUCKED TOO! THAT GIRL CHEATED ON HER BF WITH THE MAIN DUDE!!!

There was nothing to like about that movie.

If you think the Monsters were supposed to be the focal point of the first movie you missed the entire point.
