Total Recall is an action thriller about reality and memory, inspired anew by the famous short story “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale” by Philip K. Dick. Welcome to Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker named Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell), even though he's got a beautiful wife (Kate Beckinsale) who he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life - real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police – controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen (Bryan Cranston), the leader of the free world – Quaid teams up with a rebel fighter (Jessica Biel) to find the head of the underground resistance (Bill Nighy) and stop Cohaagen. The line between fantasy and reality gets blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true fate.

Will they ruin the nostalgia from the original Total Recall, or will Hollywood actually treat us to a decent remake?

i ain't Grif, but this is a piece of shit. Game-ish, disposable, pseudo stylized. Looks like a regular MTV video clip crap. SHIT
The original is a true classic.

It has decent writers so it should be ok.

Im little dissapointed thou that they recreate almost every memorial thing from the original movie but didnt bring Richter back. Im mean whats with that?
Richard Armitage or Marton Csokas would have been cool. They have nothing against Ironside thou but still would have been cool.

Well at least it has Bryan Cranston as Cohaagen.

Arnie vs Ironside is still one of my favorite movie fight scenes.

Jesus does anyone here actually have the knowledge that this story originates from a Philp K Dick novel? The so called "original" was just a very bad adaptation of that book (can't believe somebody called that a "true classic", a classic piece of shit more like") and this may pretty much be another bad adaptation of both the same book because its following the same route as the Verhoven film with the exception of actually having decent actors this time instead of wooden fanboy favorites and a decent cinematographer too.

@CeeJay - you took the words out of my mouth. People think that history starts when they remember things. Like all of the people who thought that Hulk was overpowered because all they could remember was the TV show.

The original is an overrated piece of shit. So hopefully this will be better. And where's a second trailer?

I don't give a shit that it's a remake, it looks pretty rad. And that's saying a lot for me, 'cause I borderline hate Colin Farrel.
