Rinko Kikuchi Discusses Guillermo del Toro's PACIFIC RIM

"When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse."

DC/WB need to make a GREEN LANTERN CORPS. movie starring Hal,John,Guy & Kyle.

Also various alien members & make it completely off-Earth & no need for origins,just set premise of galactic police force kicking evils ass with power rings.

Pacific Rim looks cool..already want a franchise of films for this.

I know more than you think. Also I can state the samething about John. You put the writing team behind the John in the DCAU and a good director and you got a great film just like if you put a great team around Hal. At the end of the day, John has a team year led on Hal in the GA's eyes. The GA doesn't like Hal and comic fans don't like John. If the GA loved Hal we wouldn't have a shit film and a TV show that had less seasons than Static Shock. Even when it was said the show was canceling, GL ratings didn't go up while YJ did.

@Levi

If you think one movie destroys a characters reputation then your an idiot. Spiderman 3, X-men Last Stand, Dardevil, FF, and Catwoman were horrible, but that doesn't mean they are beyond redemption. John was a main character on a TEAM SHOW that ran for 5 years were as GL the Animated ran for 2 years with Hal as the lead. And even though the movie was shitty it made 250 box office, more people know Hal as the Gl than John. And if anyone deserve that spot more than Hal it would be Guy then John then Kyle. You shouldn't skip a person just because your nostalgia for a show that ended 6 years ago.

Spider-Man had 2 movies before that, Catwoman had Batman Returns, X-Men 3 had 2 other films before.

I'll give you Daredevil but where is he now? It's been 10 years since his film. And Fantastic Four has had 6 years since its last.

Also the film made 219 on a 200 budget which means it lost money.

Also Guy is just the douchebag, funny Lantern and Kyle is just Peter Parker with a GL ring.

Also if people didnt care for John, why would the GA still want him over Hal?

Also while JL doesn't have new episodes, its still on the air. It was still on after there were no more shows on the CN. Right now the show is on a channel called The Hub.

Lets see if GL can be on after 6 years.

The GA?

If you think Guy is just a douchebag, Kyle is Peter Parker with a ring, and Hal is uninteresting then you aren't a GL fan. I mean seriously most all GL events revolve around Hal ,and most of GL corps up till recently has been mainly about Guy. So the only conclusion to come to is that your love for John is mainly stems from the character in the JL cartoon and comic John and JLU John are way different. I mean it wasn't until recently that they started to focus on his military past.

As Khan stated above I don't think you know very much about the character or the franchise , actually I know you don't as you really only praise how he John was represented in a dead cartoon. Most of your comments now a days are about either trolling Spider-Man threads or talking about how Cyborg sucks, how MM is the best, and WB should basically go with the cast of the JLU cartoon. Most of your comments nowadays are about provoking a fight or repeating the same thing you've said in a 100 other threads.

@Levi

I admire your sentimentality and love for a character but when you consistently petition John for GL or talk about how TASM sucks you come off as a bit childish pace yourself with these sort of comments there is only so much of your whining one can put up with.
