Fans of the franchise are still anxiously waiting for the next Power Rangers trailer, especially as it will no doubt offer up a look at the Zords and some of the reboot's fully CG characters. After all, the teaser didn't really show much, so a preview with a greater focus on the Rangers would be perfect. For now though, we do at least have an international trailer, and while it's unfortunately mostly made up of previously seen footage, we do get a new look at the power coins and how they factor into things.

Power Rangers stars Dacre Montgomery (A Few Less Men) as Jason the Red Ranger, RJ Cyler (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) as Billy the Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott (The 33) as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Becky G (Empire) as Trini the Yellow Ranger, and Ludi Lin (Monster Hunt) as Zack the Black Ranger. Rounding out the cast are Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa and Bryan Branston as Zordon. The movie is set to be released on March 24th, next year, and you can check out the trailer for the reboot below.

This looks like Fant4stic. That's bad because like this movie, I thought Fant4stic was gonna be good.

this comes out in March??

Can we get something, anything, that showcases what a big budget blockbuster power rangers movie would look like?

Action set pieces, zords, anything. Please

@NoMeaning45 -

This film is clearly using the same structure as Chronicle, so chances are the Zord and Megazord action is only one fight with them fighting Goldar until they have to transform. Probably wont even last more than 20 minutes of screentime. So i expect they are hiding the Zords, Action and Megazord for that reason.

Only three fights are happening in this movie;
- Opening with Zordon fighting Rita and Goldar
- Rita fighting Power Rangers
- Goldar's massive form fighting the Zords/Megazord

Maybe throw in some put Putty Patrollers during the fight with Rita - but i would'nt expect much.

@Scarilian - Well to be fair the Zords only showed up at the end of each episode. They almost never did anything individually. They just showed up, transformed into Megazord for like 2 minutes to punch and kick the monster of the week a couple times, then kill it with the sword.

I understand this is a movie and has a lot more time to play with than a tv episode, but lets be honest, the monster shouldn't grow big until the very end. Other than that, what purpose would the Rangers have to fight in a Zord?

For me, the Zords always sucked in the show. I always enjoyed the Power Rangers fighting much more than the Zords.

@Scarilian - Although I did always wonder why every week a monster would show up, and the Rangers always seemed so surprised when Rita or Zedd made it grow big.

Why wouldn't they just beat them to the punch, jump straight into Megazord before the monster grows big and just step on him? lol
