It's Morphin Time! Check Out The Action-Packed First Trailer For The POWER RANGERS Reboot

Quite a bit earlier than we expected, the first trailer for Saban's Power Rangers reboot has debuted over on the movie's official Facebook page. Fans thought they were going to have to wait until the New York Comic Con panel later on today, but you can get your first look at the new team of heroes in action right now.

Being a teaser trailer, most of this is setting the story up, but we do get a few shots of the team preparing to kick ass, and there's also a glimpse of Elizabeth Banks' Rita Repulsa and Jason/Red Ranger suiting up right at the end.

Have a watch, and let us know what you think in the usual place.

Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

Power Rangers hits theaters on March 24, 2017.

movies looks fine but i feel they needed to go all out for a first trailer for a film thats only 5 months away

i expected more action, more than a half glimpse of them in costume

kind of underwhelming looks like breakfast club meets chronicle

@P862010 - Agreed. I expected to see them in costume fighting putties and a giant monster growing and the cliffhanger being the megazords.

It's Clobber-, uh i mean, Morphin Time!

This actually looked alright. Who's covering walk the line? I was really feeling it before they got powers.

@TheManWithoutFear - The artist covering Johnny Cash's song is the love of my life, Halsey. <3

@RichardBoldly - its decent cover but honestly I'm waiting for this trend of whiny, nasally singers to pass.

@TheManWithoutFear - That melody just sounded JUST like Heathens.

I'll try to make a mashup, now that I think about it.
