Live-Action Unused POWER RANGERS Movie Concept Art
Is Lionsgate taking ques from Adi Shankar's gritty Power Rangers film and going for a darker version of the kid's action show in their reboot? Check out some unused concept art for the movie!
The live-action Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie at Lionsgate was in development for quite a while before the studio selected Dean Israelite (Project Almanac) to direct. However, Lionsgate apparently listened to a pitch from an unnamed director before giving Israelite the job who hired Alex Ruiz and Gregory Semkow to produce some concept art. Here's what the vision for the live-action reboot from the 'mystery' director looks like. Whether Israelite will deliver something similar remains to be seen.
The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reboot from Lionsgate will be directed by Israelite from a script penned by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz (Thor, X-Men: First Class, Star Trek Beyond). The film will star Dacre Montgomery, Ludi Lin, R.J.Cyler, Naomi Scott and Becky Gomez. The reboot is currently scheduled to hit theaters on March 24, 2017.
