Prior to the show's 30th season launching on Netflix, The Illuminerdi (via SFFGazette.com) has revealed some major new details about Power Rangers Cosmic Fury

According to the site, fans can look forward to Ollie (Kai Moya), the former Dino Fury Blue Ranger and current Blue Cosmic Fury Ranger, betraying his teammates and partnering up with Lord Zedd! The villain is setting out to put an end to the Power Rangers once and for all and Ollie promises to be key in realising his sinister vision.

Described by the site as a "primary antagonist," it's unclear whether he's been brainwashed or if he's simply broken bad.

As you may recall, Ollie previously teamed up with Lord Zedd in Power Rangers Dino Fury. On that occasion, he had been brainwashed, so perhaps the villain took that opportunity to implant something in his mind so they could reunite down the line.

Whether we'll get a new Blue Ranger remains to be seen, but this is definitely an intriguing development for the franchise.

Power Rangers Cosmic Fury also stars Russell Curry as Zayto, the Red Ranger, Hunter Deno as Amelia Jones, the Pink Ranger, Tessa Rao as Izzy Garcia, the Green Ranger, Chance Perez as Javi Garcia, the Black Ranger, and Jordon Fite as Aiyon, the Gold Ranger.

Season 30 was announced last year (you can check out the announcement below if you missed it the first time), while next month is expected to see the launch of 30th anniversary special Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always.

How do you feel about this latest development for the Power Rangers?

Hard to believe this show has lasted 30 years, taking footage from japanese toku shows.

Only year off was after disney cancelled it, then a year later saban brought it back

Also surprising how the original cast is still involved and is still feels like everything is connected since the beginning.

@colonel179 - The Power Rangers were only connected up until Power Rangers In Space. Andros destroyed Zordon and his aura wiped away evil and the ranger grid. Lost Galaxy and then Lightspeed Rescue attempted to make the Rangers "Jobs" at this point and somehow the Space Rangers had their powers back. And then it all started becoming convoluted. RPM existed on its own within its own universe.

I feel like this is the one franchise that truly belongs to my generation.

Like we inherited Star Wars and Star Trek, but this show has truly grown with us milennials. The comics are also amazing.

@Taonrey - I’d agree with you, but I think the MCU is just an extension of the comics which have been running since the 40’s 😅

Definitely agree with the F&F franchise though, even if I haven’t seen all of them LOL

@GetsugaTensho22 - fast and furious is fun to watch forgot which sequel stopped being realistic in series and start off more fantasy I stop taking series serious once they start using more cgi crap in sequels.,

Tokyo drift and first one are my favorites in series

@GetsugaTensho22 - while u have a point I’d argue Majority of the mcu fanbases hasn’t pick up a Ironman, Cap or Gotg comic.

I was hoping they'd skip this particular season of Sentai. Those costumes are ass.
