POWER RANGERS Gets A Morphinomenal New International Triptych Poster Ahead Of Chinese Release
Ahead of its Chinese release in two week, Lionsgate & Saban Brands have debuted a very cool new triptych poster for Power Rangers featuring Angel Grove's finest heroes racing into action. Check it!
Lionsgate's Power Rangers proved to be quite the pleasant surprise when it stormed into theaters last month, but with its current worldwide box office total standing at a little over $133.5 million, its hopes for a sequel now hinge on a better-than-solid performance in both China & Japan, which is where its due out on May 12 and July 15, respectively.
The Dean Israelite-directed reboot is expected to perform well in Japan this summer, due to the franchise's strong ties there, but China still remains somewhat of a wildcard as even two weeks out, it's hard to determine how the Middle Kingdom will ultimately respond. One thing that does seemingly play into the film's favor is the presence of Chinese actor Ludi Lin, who stars as Zack the Black Ranger, and has some name recognition in his home country, having appeared in the second highest-grossing Chinese film ever, Monster Hunt.
With the impending release in China, a new triptych poster has been released featuring the Rangers racing into action while the Command Center and the Megazord loom in the stadium background. Check it out below:
