Earlier on, we learned that the Predator movie we've been calling "Skulls" since it was first announced last year will actually be Titled Prey, and is set to release on the Hulu streaming service next summer. Now, 20th Century Studios has shared a first look image and logo as part of Disney+ Day.
The promo poster doesn't fully reveal the Predator, but we do get an obscured glimpse of the alien hunter as he stalks Comanche warrior Naru (Legion actress Amber Midthunder) through the mist.
10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg will helm the movie, which will take place "in the world of the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, following Naru, a skilled female warrior who fiercely protects her tribe against a highly evolved alien predator."
Shane Black's underwhelming 2018 effort, The Predator, seemed to put the sci-fi action film series to rest for a while, but it looks like Disney is determined to breath new life into the franchise. The script is being written by Patrick Aison, whose producer/writer credits include Kingdom, Jack Ryan and Treadstone.
The first - and by far the best - Predator movie came out back in 1987 and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the leader of a group of mercenaries who find themselves hunted by a merciless alien creature.
