It's a bit too fast in my opinion, but I'm hopeful that Capaldi will do a good job.

This pulled at my heart strings in a big way! Somehow they managed a drawn out heartfelt good bye with a quick bang there you go!

So sad to see Matt Smith go...he will be missed massively!

I'll give Doctor Who this... They know how to cast leads with truly expressive faces.

Doctor: Kidneys. I have got new kidneys. I don't like the color.
Clara: Of your kidneys?

I love these series! Matt Smith will be missed! When he removed his bow I cried... Peter Capaldi looks great for the new Doctor!

I just started watching this show on netflix. The first season was a pain to get through, but it was alright. I'm on season two and it's pretty good so far. I'm just waiting till the show starts to look better, the show looks like an episode of power rangers from 2005

Last night's regeneration was disappointing. It was nice to see Amy Pond again though.

@Dellamorte1872

You do realize that they aren't changing what the Doctors are called, right? Tennant is still called 10 by the people that MAKE THE SHOW. John Hurt is an anomaly that took up a regeneration but wasn't "The Doctor", and the other regeneration was wasted (or burned off) not causing the physical change so numbering never was affected by it. Even The Doctor (Smith) himself refers to himself as the 11th Doctor.

"Hating" people for something that you are wrong about (yes, you are wrong, all the fan-fic you want to create can't undo what the actual show/writers say), and that you also DIDN'T KNOW YOURSELF UNTIL A MONTH AGO is a bit narrow minded.

Your opinions are just that, so I won't comment on them because that is the joy of fandom, and I like some of your observations about previous Doctors and don't agree with others, but ignoring truth and inciting HATE because of your own opinion is a bit unacceptable.

@marvel72 - You enjoyed it more than Day of the Doctor? How is that possible?!

@Spidey31 - The show looks great, not sure what you're expecting from a television series.

The Christmas show was disappointing, and the way he got his new regens was a horrible deus ex, even though Doctor Who is filled with these, this one took the cake.

@Batmantis the show looks cheap in it's early years

[frick]ing horrible episode, capped off with an unnecessary cameo by the worst [frick]ing companion. Not to mention all the intrigue generated by Gallifrey's return, only for it to be brushed off the shoulder with a simple crack in the wall.

Should've killed Smith off in the fiftieth. Could've come up with a more compelling reason for his regeneration count reboot that way, too.

Matt is the 12th/13th INCARNATION, but IS the 11th DOCTOR. There's no need to be so childish about it.

The best part of the episode was Amy coming down the steps and telling her Raggedy Man goodnight. Because of that the regeneration itself should've been a bit more dramatic, but it was beautiful and only right that she see him off.
