After going through some trouble for a while, The Ridley Scott directed prequel to his smash hit Alien was changed into an original concept known as Prometheus. After gaining a release date set for March 9, 2012 they got some competition.

Disney decided to move their upcoming adaption of the classic books by Edgar Rice Burroughs, John Carter Mars from a June 8, 2012 to a March 9, 2012 release. This change in release dates resulted in a competetive opening against Ridley Scott's Prometheus.

Now reports from the site COMING SOON are saying that Prometheus will now be released in the orignal date for John Carter Of Mars. Prometheus now his theaters June 8, 2012. It will be directed by Ridley Scott with its only known star being Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, and that Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron are reportedly looking for roles.
