James Cameron has done it again! He has brought another piece of art to the big screen. All the elements in the movie were just excellent. It's just so amazing how Cameron made this movie - wait not movie but a universe - It's just so amazing how Cameron made this universe come to life. I just loved how he made all these things so real. When you watch the movie it's as if it was a true story not just a story that lives in someones mind. The background and the scenery were just so breath-taking and looked so real, I've never seen anything like it.

The acting provided with Sam Wortington was just awesome, but the accent needs a little work there. The supporting cast wasn't bad they did their best and i'm happy with their work. The story may be overused but what made the story original was everything else. The navi were so wonderfully done they actually made them alive. They gave them a culture, a lifestyle, a language, a religion etc.

This movie even had a message that Cameron could be possibly delivering to us concerning war mainly on the war in Iraq. You'll see if you watch it. So all I can say is this movie IS the movie of the decade, definitely better than Titanic, Watchmen, LOTR, Terminator etc. This movie is just an EPIC!!! Everything about it is just excellent

I'd give this movie a 9.5/10 you must watch it, it won't disappoint. I'm gonna' watch this movie 2 more times, one with my glasses on and two with I-MAX 3-D glasses on. WATCH IT NOW!!!

ROCK ON!!! \m/

It looks very good and I do plan on seeing it. (there's no cinema in my town so probably next week :P) I doubt I'll like it better than LOTR though. LOTR is my fave movie of all time and an absolute masterpiece. I don't expect it to ever be topped. (for me)

Its scale and ambition matched Rings hands down, but it can't compete with the story, acting, characters..basically anything else. Its a completely visual experience..and it does have very likeable characters, but they are really just archetypes..The Ex Marine, The Hippy Scientist, The Evil Colonel..rather than fully rounded people. If that doesn't bother you then you will love this movie..hell I loved it! But Im not about to gloss over its short comings either.

A lot of things are better than Titanic. A lot. For the rest I'm very doubtful, this was pretty much a one sided review which leaves me to believe you weren't able to look past the visual cream dream that was "Avatar." I think Rorsch hit the nail on the head with his last comment.

Nah dude, they are archetypes. Meaning, they are the basic model on which those types of characters have always been based...they are stereotypes too! But [frick] it, they work for the movie. I just wouldn't be calling it a masterpiece
