Well, it seems that Woodley has a franchise in her hands right now.

The film Divergent doesn't hit theaters till March 21st, 2014 and studio Summit Entertainment is already starting work on adapting the sequel INSURGENT. It was confirmed by director Neil Burger that he wont return to film the sequel due to scheduling conflicts. But that hasn't stopped Summit Entertainment from searching for a new director.

It has been reported that Akiva Goldsman who has won an Academy Award for best adapted screenplay for the 2001 film A Beautiful Mind will start working on adapting Insurgent the second part to Veronica Roth's Divergent trilogy.

Akiva Goldsman has worked on film scripts like Angels and Demons.I Robot,he also co-wrote Cinderella Man and he has also written and directed the upcoming adaptation of ‘Winter’s Tale' starring Colin Farrell, Jessica Brown Findlay, Jennifer Connelly and Russell Crowe, and will hit cinemas on February 14th.

INSURGENT will hit theaters March 20th,2015.



‘Divergent’ is set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.
