Deadline has revealed that Predators and Spider-Man 3 star Topher Grace is in talks for a supporting role in Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. It should hardly come as a surprise to learn that there are currently no details as to who he will be playing as the movie is shrouded in secrecy. Grace will next be seen alongside Chris Evans in A Many Splintered Thing. The actor joins an incredible lineup of stars which includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, John Lithgow and Michael Caine. Interstellar will be shot in IMAX and is currently set for release on November 7th, 2014. How do you feel about this latest addition?

uhhhh, this is new. Can't wait to see what he brings to the table. This is Nolan's most ensemble film. VERY excited. Nolan NEVER disappoints.

YES! Topher is underappreciated. He was awesome in Predators.

I agree with you ninjacarm 100%. After watching Spider-Man I realized he should have been Spider-Man in the original films

Hahaha. Isn't that a coincidence.
Honestly, I never understood all of the hate towards him. It's not his fault he was handed a bad script that minimally included his character in it. Apparently he must be something if he caught Chris Nolan's eye.

People really need to learn to stop doubting Nolan's casting choices. I'm sure he'll do a great job.

Can we call him 'that 70s show' topher
Mike89
Mike89 - 7/23/2013, 12:26 PM
It wasnt topher fault he had a bad script and was badly miscast. Eddie Brock is supposed be literaly a body builder. He ha a personal vendetta against Spiderman, Not peter Parker. Thats one thing Sam Raimi got wrong. However the rest of the movie was terrible so with or without venom Spiderman 3 was still a colocal failure.

Why is there so much crying going on here?

Topher was the ONLY eddie brock on screen so how can you compare him to say he was the worst? Sucks that he was miscast, had a bad script, and that Sony pushed for Venom to be in spiderman 3. Topher's a great actor however, check out Predators

EPIC CAST! By the looks of it, he will be the villain. Or the nerd.

This will be another hit.

Nolan never disappoints. Indeed.

an actor is only as good as his director and script. if you give pauley shore a scoresese movie things would be different.

Both Insomnia AND The Dark Knight Rises have high consensus scores. Rises VERY high in a lot of places.

Nolan never disappoints is accurate.

Interesting cast. Never thought I'd hear his name as a Nolan cast, but I think he's a decent actor. He gets too much crap for his Venom.

Topher gets trashed too much because of Venom's screen time (if you can call i that) I really liked his performance.

IMO Topher Grace would have been a great Peter Parker/Spiderman. He looks the part. He can pass off as a geek and a genius, hes likable and has enough charisma to be a wise cracker. Raimi should have cast him as Spidey!
