First Trailer For STAR TREK BEYOND Will Debut With STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS
J.J. Abrams may have opted to helm Star Wars: The Force Awakens over Star Trek Beyond, but there's no bad blood there as the director/producer has decided to attach the first trailer for the latter to his upcoming Star Wars sequel. Plus, find out what other trailers to expect!
Forget the two-and-a-half hour film that is Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the party is going to have started long before the J.J. Abrams-directed film rolls its first frame.
Another major 2016 release has attached its first trailer to the upcoming Star Wars sequel - Star Trek Beyond. With Abrams producing both films, this announcement was probably more of an inevitability than a surprise. Justin Lin (Fast Five) is directing the latest installment, which stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Idris Elba, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Karl Urban, & Anton Yelchin.
In addition to Star Trek Beyond, from The Hollywood Reporter, we have learned what other trailers will more likely than not screen ahead of the highly anticipated sequel: X-Men: Apocalypse, Captain America: Civil War, Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, The Huntsman: Winter's War, Independence Day: Resurgence, The Jungle Book, and Finding Dory. The list consists of a few trailers we may have already seen and a couple we should probably expect in the coming two weeks.
