Hey guys, like the idea of two guys hanging out talking about the movie, but a little constructive isms. tighten it up a little and come up with something better then a+ B+ type ratings. makes it seem very amatureish. other wise great so far keep em comming

ehhh. I'm thinking the SHAT's Rocketman Video would have been a tad more fitting than the whole.. Star Trekkin'. But i suppose it could have been worse.

Keep it up guys.

I loved the movie I would have to say better than The Wolverine Origins. Everyone loved my Uniform. My boots were motivated. Only 1 in line fully dressed. No dirty remakes please u know what I mean. LOved the film but it was different defenatly & something was missing out this one. Not the STAR TREK I know.

Spoiler Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!! For one they changed the time line for alternate universe & blow up Vulcan & even Romulas. That made for some great story telling. But kind of F,,,ed up thou!!! How does that effect the Main time Line we all know about with Picard, Riker, Sisko, Tovuk, Bashir, Quark so on & so fourth. That could be really confusing for future events. But Jman & Johnny are right on. Go ahead Spock & Uhura wowoowwowowowowo. I wish that was me, I mean Zoe Salanda was hot as hell. Indeed Peace & Long Life with her indeed.

YEA SPOCK, THE STORY TELLING CREATED IT SO IT COULD STILL BE THE CHARACTERS WE LOVE BUT BECAUSE OF THE TIME CONTINUEM BEING ALTERED, EVERY EVENT CHANGES IN THIS NEW REALITY, OOH WE MIGHT GET LUCKY IN THE SEQUEL, WHAT IF KIRK AND CREW NOW WERE THE FIRST TO ENCOUNTER-THE BORG-

This want I've been saying all along lets get passed the old stuff & move forward. Same goes for Star Wars.
Thou Iam still a Trekkie... Over all I did like the movie.

Here we go, "Some reviews I have read imply that this was the only way to breath new life into a dead franchise. I couldn't disagree more. Trek fans who have read novels by Peter David or Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens can tell you that there are WAY better storylines out there and if Hollywood wanted to truly make good Trek movies they would hire better talent to write the scripts. Why not make a new ship with a new crew, set after Star Trek: Nemesis? Why go back to square one when so many more possibilities are available AFTER Nemesis? I'll tell you why. Because the names Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Enterprise fills theater seats thanks to work done years ago by GOOD writers, directors, and actors that Hollywood is unable reproduce because they are more interested in selling recycled garbage." I like these guys. They need more of a straight forward camera view though, and some light. Straight forward as in shot from the waist up.

Not only do I enjoy Jmann and Johnnie Luv's reviews, but I think a few more of us CBM contributors should get involved. Besides, why the hell should I write a review when everyone else can just listen and watch these guys as opposed to reading one of my longwinded writings ;)

I'll be going to see it tonight.

The movie was amazing I was never a big original Star Trek fan The only series i watched any of was the next generation, I did watch the original on occasion so i knew all the characters and the commonly used lines that were well versed in this movie, I esp loved the "god damn it Jim, I'm a doctor" line.

Now with one blockbuster movie down, we only have to wait for Transformers ROTF and Terminator, which one will be the best/favorite this year?

Star Trek SUCKS!!!

Star trek - good film that fell down on 2 major plot flaws:

Spoliers:
1. Kirk finding Spock on the Ice planet - too big a coincidince which was an essential plot trigger for the rest of the film.
2. The mining drill on Vulcan and later earth: why was this even in the film? We know that the Romulans can detonate the red matter with a normal torpedo (ref to the end of the movie when one of them is hesitant to fire on spock in the ship containing it), so why on earth did they bother trying to drill down into the core? A total waste of time...(makes for a good fight though but still, I like my films to make sense).

Aside from these blatant errors that any normal editor shoudl have seen it is an okay film - the actors were good and my only gripe is that it could have been/ should have been so much better as it is esaily capable of it...

@ LEEE777

I know, instead they started doing the Clone Wars, which in my opinion, are boring, I still watch it sometimes, but does not really get my attention as much, George Lucas actually talked about Live-Action show a couple years ago, in Celebration 3. I hope it begins soon though, we need some new Star Wars for the new generation.

I enjoyed the movie, but the love fest from the media and fans seems to be excessive. 96% rating on rt - universal positive ratings from all the big media players - wow it wasn't that good - and Wolverine wasn't that bad.

Abrams got a free pass. Using alternate reality gave him carte blanche (yeah, I know it is a common framework for Trek).

But Spock and Uhuru ---ugghhhhh

Does no one else see that this movie is pure garbage? With their little time travel plot line they've managed to change everything as we know it in the Star Trek universe past present and future.I know I'm being critical but I've grown up on these movies and shows . For you guys to just change everything for the sake of a reboot is just RETARDED!

This movie is pure garbage. This is bright, shiny garbage though. So, not a lot of people walked away with their brains still in working order.
Crap with a pretty bow on it still smells like crap.
