Jesus Christ, Carol Marcus was NOT a Star Fleet officer, she was a scientist who's work was part funded by Star Fleet.

These stupid reboots turns everything into an action hero crap!

@Ceejay She was when she was younger, according to one source anyway. I don't know how deep down the rabbit hole one would want to go with canon and non-canon sources. It gets pretty murky.
