STAR WARS Star Daisy Ridley Lands A Lead Role In Doug Liman's Sci-Fi Thriller CHAOS WALKING
Having just wrapped production on Star Wars: Episode VIII, Rey actress Daisy Ridley has set her sights on another potential franchise - the Doug Liman-directed Chaos Walking. Come take a look!
Variety is reporting that Daisy Ridley has signed on for one of the lead roles in Lionsgate's upcoming adaptation of the popular dystopian young adult novel Chaos Walking. Details on her role were unavailable, but it's likely she's playing the film's second protagonist Viola Eade.
Chaos Walking is the first book in author Patrick Ness' best-selling trilogy about a post-apocalyptic world where there are no women and all living creatures can hear one another's thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds called Noise. The lead protagonist is a boy named Todd Hewitt, who after making a startling discovery about the Noise is forced to flee his hometown with his dog. The story follows their journey as they encounter a strange and mysterious silent girl, who joins them on their quest to discover the truth behind their existence.
Doug Liman (Edge Of Tomorrow) is helming the project with a script from Academy Award-winner Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind) and Jamie Linden (Money Monster), who completed the most recent draft.
Ridley is best known for her role as Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and most recently wrapped the Rian Johnson-directed Episode VIII, which is due out December 2017. Her upcoming projects include Kolma and The Lost Wife.
