Donald Glover's Lando Calrissian Pilots The Millennium Falcon In New HAN SOLO Set Photo
Han Solo director Ron Howard has shared another photo from the set of the movie teasing some Hyperspace scenes and we get to see Donald Glover's Lando Calrissian piloting the Millennium Falcon...
Ron Howard took over directing duties on Han Solo from Phil Lord and Chris Miller and continues to share his excitement about the Star Wars spinoff. Now, the filmmaker has shown off how Hyperspace scenes are shot and if you take a close look at the monitor below you'll see that Donald Glover's Lando Calrissian is piloting the Millennium Falcon, a ship he actually lost in a bet to Han before A New Hope.
The movie is clearly going to explore that period in his and Han's lives, something which should be a lot of fun (despite it being tackled in a variety of Expanded Universe novels, comic books and games).
Howard doesn't have an easy job coming on to a movie like Han Solo at such a late stage, especially as it needs to be ready to hit theaters by next May. Still, it looks like he's having fun and these photos are doing a great job of teasing what's on the way, a surprise considering how secretive Disney and Lucasfilm have been in the past. Then again, they need to restore faith in the project at this stage.
