@ALostCause - I really need to give a Deadpool a rewatch.

All this Oscar buzz is encouraging me

@NoMeaning45 - minus horror and supernatural elements, it pretty much combines my favorite kinds of movies into one great ride.

also it's the only superhero movie that everyone i know saw and had a positive experience. even my dad, and he dislikes cbms and comedies lol.

strange gets a close second for my cbm of the year.

@ALostCause - well, the reason why everyone loved it, is because it's for comic book fans and it doesn't alienate non-comic fans since it makes fun of the genre, so all those "film purists" don't feel offended

cw 1/2 gotta be fair.

and it's still better than bvs. just because it doesn't make me angry while i watch it.

Holy shit, I agree so much with alot of the choices

And even though you hate BvS, thank you for acknowledging it's technical achievements

The cinematography and score are wonderful

If there was a category of best sympathetic character, it would go to Ezra Miller's Credence in Fantastic Beasts
TheDayman
TheDayman - 1/14/2017, 6:33 AM
Except for HQ as the best heroine, I agree with a lot of these.

Would you look at that, I actually agree with a lot of these. At least if we're only considering CBMs/animation/fairytales and sagas.

Zemo does win best villain, without even being a villain. Says a lot about the underwhelming bad guys we saw last year.

HQ as a heroine I'm not quite sure about. Liked the character, but I'd probably put Judy Hopps or Jyn Erso above her as they are more like heroines in my book.

I agree with Black Panther getting supporting hero, but not with Spider-Man, as he was more of a glorified cameo.

Also, while I liked the GOTG2 trailer, I'd put both Logan and Wonder Woman above it. Baby Groot is awesome though.

Agreed for sure on the majority! Only one i'd choose would be The Ancient One for best supporting heroine.
TheDayman
TheDayman - 1/14/2017, 5:27 PM
@Menks123 - Yeah, she'd be my choice too. Swinton was great, and she really elevated the character beyond the classic "mentor who dies."
