Disney and Lucasfilm have just released the official theatrical trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story, featuring tons of action-packed new footage as Han Solo finally gets his shot! Come check it out!

During tonight's broadcast of American Idol, Disney and Lucasfilm finally debuted the new theatrical trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story, featuring a ton of fresh footage as young Han (Alden Ehrenreich) takes his first step to becoming the legendary smuggler fans know and love. 

The trailer also does a much better job at spotlighting the star-studded supporting cast, which includes Woody Harrelson (Venom), Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Donald Glover (Atlanta), Thandie Newton (Westworld), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Joonas Suotamo (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), and Paul Bettany (Avengers: Infinity War), amongst others.

The Ron Howard-directed feature will premiere at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival on May 15th before making its worldwide debut on May 25th.

This looks MUCH MUCH BETTER than the previous trailers. Actually looks really good imo. This trailer got me a little hyped for this film.

@maxx - This is the trailer they should have released after the teaser. That train chase scene looks pretty sick. There really wasn't a dull moment in the trailer, thrilling from start to finish.

To be honest though, the trailers for the Star Wars films have largely not been that great in the last few years. I thought the trailers for Force Awakens and Last Jedi were pretty bad, with only Rogue One having "exciting" trailers.
