You just might be looking at history right here.  Earlier this morning, actor Mark Hamill posted a snap on Twitter from what he says is the very first day of filming on Star Wars back in 1976 in the Tunisian desert .  Hamill posted the following response to WB Animation publicist Gary Miereanu‏ (who most likely knows Hamill very well from his numerous voice roles), who asked, "At that very moment, were you thinking 'This is gonna be my big break" or "Crap, it's early, dusty and way too bright?'

Hamill responded, "Judging by my clueless expression, probably both. Crew was kind but thought #SW was "rubbish"-I kept telling them"We're on a winner!"

The guy probably had absolutely no clue at that point at how legendary his character and the movie he was about to start shooting would become.

I really hope he doesn't die in Episode 8. It was sad when Han died, but also pretty predictable.

@Valdez -

He probably will, him and Leia were the final two left of the 'old series' and for Rey to be 'The Last Jedi' then Luke needs to die. Unless you take Jedi as being the plural, but even then it makes more sense that Episode 7, 8 and 9 kill off the heroes of the old series. Though its cliche'

@Scarilian - That's true. Episode 8 will probably kill Luke and Leila will probably die in Episode 9.
