Set against the thrilling and exotic backdrop of a “galaxy far, far away,” Star Wars is perfectly suited to the immersive 3D theatrical experience, and Episode I delivers some of the Saga’s most stunning and spectacular sequences – from the Naboo invasion to the Tatooine Podraces to the climactic lightsaber battle between Darth Maul and the Jedi. Supervised by Industrial Light & Magic, the meticulous conversion is being done with utmost respect for the source material, and with a keen eye for both technological considerations and artistic intentions.

What's with the weird washed out colour in the trailer? ANyway, I bought the saga on blu ray and I'm not really impressed by 3D when it's filmed that way, so I'll be passing.

Seeing as how I'm not nearly as jaded and cynical as most of the people here, I'm looking forward to seeing all six of them on the big screen again. And if the "cool" people wanna skip it, AWESOME! Then I don't have to deal with their childishness while I'm watching the movies. Win for me!

Lol I'm sorry I loved the Star Wars saga sans the first but, honestly, who in their right mind is going to waste +$10 to watch something already released on blu-ray in 3D?

Mr. Lucas please, for the love of god, go away and leave the classics alone! Please bow out "gracefully" and let someone else come up with some new ideas to make you money because you sir are officially washed up.

:P

Strangely I have the urge to watch those since there not as bad some people make out.

An example Pod Racing is awesome for me but to be honest none of you will be happy with anything, people will find faults everywhere even Cloverfield or the infamous Doom movie.

@ theangrytroll - I agree. Yeah - we know GL Is a dick and he's sucking us for money; but then again, so is everyone else. Some of the sequences looked really clean snd crisp and I'm sure that it'll be a blowaway ride in 3D (just close your eyes and ears when Jar Jar is around)

@grif,

It's not Obi-Wans fault, he's great! It's definitely Hayden Christian's bad acting's fault.

@SuperArgo- Right on !
@MaddMonkk- Hey, why not!
@theangrytroll - Dude, are you trying to use the 'force' to trick us into going?
You know that only works on weak minds- so think about why YOU'RE going.

It would actually make sense to further ruin this piece of shit with inappropriate sound effects and at least one unnecessary "Nooooooooooooo!" so people could go see it just for laughs..

You guys are haters. This is gonna be rad. Nothing more trite and cliche as a "Star Wars fan" hating the prequels and special editions. May your species be wiped out in the Darwinian sense over the next 20 years so-help-me god.
ejkousc
ejkousc - 10/23/2011, 5:29 PM
@ marvel72 - Your brilliant remedy for the prequel trilogy sucking is for Lucas to make a sequel trilogy that would probably "suck" equally thus diluting the quality of Star Wars even more? Yeah that makes sense.

And I'll save you the trip of rebutting with "Well so long as Lucas lets someone else do it". Right, you honestly see him doing that? And do you honestly see Harrison Ford returning? The Star Wars saga is over. Either enjoy it or hate it.

I can't believe anyone would pay even a cent to watch this garbage again. It sucked the first time. Unless they re-cast the film, re-wrote it and changed 96% of it, Lucas is wasting his time.

Darth Maul is the only thing that makes this movie good. too bad he was in it like 10 seconds.
