Nacon has announced plans to release a new Terminator video game that will be an open-world survival experience similar to something like Days Gone. Well, we're guessing that's the case as very little has been revealed thus far, and we don't actually even know when this untitled game will arrive.
The teaser is less than 30 seconds long, but does suggest players will be hunted down by the iconic robots made famous by the James Cameron's classic movies (and the disappointing sequels that followed).
The publisher's last Terminator game, Terminator: Resistance, was met with mostly mixed reviews and was a first-person shooter. We're hoping this will be a little different and that Nacon has taken the criticisms on board to deliver a game that will make fans of this series happy.
"Just a tease for the future, but if you couldn’t tell, we’re big fans of 80’s movies, and our team at Nacon Studio Milan is working on the first survival game set in the Terminator universe," reads a statement from the team developing the game. "We can’t say much more for now, but this is definitely something to keep your eyes on. Coming to PC & Consoles in the distant future."
The publisher's website confirms details like this being an open-world title that's not based on any of the movies, while the setting will be somewhere between Judgement Day, but before John Connor's resistance. You'll be part of a group of survivors who are fighting to stay alive.
