UPDATE 4: Tron: Legacy Viral Countdown

As part of Disney's intricate viral marketing campaign for Tron: Legacy, a new site has emerged revealing a coded countdown. Can you decipher it?

Disney took the San Diego Comic-Con by storm last year with an elaborate viral marketing scavenger hunt that lead dedicated fans to an actual arcade named for Flynn, Jeff Bridges' character in the orignal Tron. Inside, a lucky few were treated to retro stand-up arcade games and a secret door that lead to a life-sized light cycle prop.

Now, Disney is at it again with the debut of the Flynn Lives web-site, on which is revealed a strange Flash animation game or countdown. What does it reveal? I haven't a "Clu," but see if you can crack the code!

UPDATE 1: A picture or message appears to be forming beneath the countdown. Stay tuned for more!

UPDATE 2: The message turns out to be a list of cities. But, what exactly is supposed to happen in those cities when the countdown expires?!?

UPDATE 3: The countdown has expired and Flynn Lives is currently looking for operatives:

The hunt is on – the time is now!

We are deploying envoys to 27 locations around the world and we need you to meet up with the
Flynn Lives contact in your area. Check the link below to find out when and where this rendezvous will take place. Then, get ready to hit the streets.

Can we count on your support?

UPDATE 4: The quest for Flynn is on!

I love this kind of marketing!

The Wolfman people should have borrowed a page out of Disney's marketing playbook instead of ticking everyone off with their "bite" carpet bombing ads.

To all those that haven't seen Tron just think about Reboot and you've already grasped about half the concept.

teabag & InstigatorGIRL- The first Tron is missing penises. This one seems to be compansating. Seriously though, Tron is so freakin' old that it loses it's luster for me. I can deal with watching it on tv once a year but that's about it. Can't wait to see what today's technology will bring to the concept.

YOU DON'T REMEMBER REBOOT!!! YOU NEED TO REALLY STEP YOUR 90'S CGI ANIMATED CANADIAN ACTION-ADVENTURE TELEVISION SERIES GAME UP.

Looks a little different but the gist is still the same as Tron. Sorta kinda the same.

@Bijous: Because of the location, you could be right. I think they might want to do something different this time though. Or, maybe show something new. Last year (SDCC) they showed a prop light cycle. It would be cool if it was something different, like a costume perhaps.

I miss ReBoot. I remember watching it religiously all the way to the last episode. I liked it when Dot's little brother got trapped in the game and turned into a big bad a**.
