Firstly, Deadline have revealed just a few minutes ago that the sci-fi remake has been cancelled, bad news for those of you who were looking forward to finding out what happens next to Erica Evans and her new allies in Project Ares.

It's official, there will be no sixth season of ABC's family drama Brothers & Sisters. And V won't return for a third season either. ABC just made the calls.

Meanwhile, IGN TV have discovered that Fantastic Four rip-off which starred Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz has also been scrapped and will not be returning for a second season.

ABC has cancelled several more series, as they firm up their new series orders for next year. No Ordinary Family, Detroit 1-8-7, Off the Map and Mr. Sunshine are all done.

Are you disappointed about this news? Which will you miss the most? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

Well, in their defense, the new creators never understood the concept...and it wasn't terribly interesting w/the original concept being so twisted. And the new showrunner they hired for this last spring season did his best by adding more lizard moments and a scientist to the mix, but it was just too late.

All strange timing every genre show getting cancelled maybe it means that network tv is done with this brand of tv. It makes me upset but really looking at the quality of some of these projects it's no wonder. Many of these shows had a great premise but lousy execution it's probably a good lesson to the people who make these shows as well to not let quality slip.

@TheIntruder
One can hope but if the networks are ending this number of sci fi/action/Comic book shows then it may speak to their view of them as a whole.

how weird is it that michael rosenbeum and laura vandervoort both had their last moment on smallville and both their new shows get axed.tough being an actor. i see t.v. is now owned by these stupid and pointless "reality shows".

Good Ridance. V got really convoluted and boring. Never watched No Ordinary Family, but it looked like a FF ripoff.

Look at the bright side, guys. We still have AMC: Walking Dead, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, etc. There's some quality tv.

@Intruder I hope you're right, man. Can we add Moonknight to that list?

I want V to head straight over to cable and produce a friggin 3rd season right now! The show left us with too much potential for something great to happen on TV again. ARG!
Some of the television shows we deem as classics now took years to find their audience. Years! It's seems the networks will barely give a show a chance to breath before it is pulled off the schedule's and replaced by some other crap. Far too often it is another dreadful "reality" show. How many Dr., police, & lawyer shows can we actually give a rats butt about?

@TheIntruder

I hope you are right but we should always keep in mind not everyone finds these genres interesting with so many of these sci fi and comic book shows not only getting cancelled but some not making it to air some having decreased ratings could mean the networks are looking to the next thing.

Comic book movies have been fine but the same thing on tv? Not so much. It's also more expensive than all the cop, lawyer and hospital shows if the audience is shaky then the networks may ask themselves why risk it at all?

These stupid network execs are the biggest LOSERS in the history of television! It amazes me how great sci-fi/fantasy shows are cancelled before they can even begin to build up their story, while crap reality and douche sitcom shows continue to flourish year after year.

V was just getting to be really good and they cut it.
Stargate Universe, the same.
There is now NOTHING on network television worth watching anymore. It's no wonder cable gets more play. ABC has just turned into Syfy Channel though -- CRAP television!
All of us who are pissed at all these cancellations should just boycott television.

It may sound ludicrious, but there USED to be a time when Americans were known to be revolutionaries, effecting change in their lifetime, not complacent pussies, who just shrug their shoulders and move on to the next boring contraption.
I'm boycotting TV. Enough is enough.

I hated V, I hated Stargate, obviously these shows don't appeal to everyone, so there is nothing "great" about them.

America has made great strides in TV still without it being Sci-Fy related, Family Guy, Tosh.O, American Dad, Futurama came back (yay a Sci-Fy show that doesn't blow!), South Park, pull up your skirt BeeMo and get over it.

The whole lot of those shows sucked and needed to be
recycled. ABC sucks too. Hopefully they don't turn hulk
into a crap-fest and just give up on it before the series
finishes like the rest of their quality programming.
