First Part.

Second Part

Official Synopsis:
"Over twenty years ago, aliens made first contact with Earth. Humans waited for the hostile attack, or the giant advances in technology. Neither came. Instead, the aliens were refugees, the last survivors of their home world. The creatures were set up in a makeshift home in South Africa’s District 9 as the world’s nations argued over what to do with them.

Now, patience over the alien situation has run out. Control over the aliens has been contracted out to Multi-National United (MNU), a private company uninterested in the aliens’ welfare - they will receive tremendous profits if they can make the aliens’ awesome weaponry work. So far, they have failed; activation of the weaponry requires alien DNA.

The tension between the aliens and the humans comes to a head when an MNU field operative, Wikus van der Merwe (Sharlto Copley), contracts a mysterious virus that begins changing his DNA. Wikus quickly becomes the most hunted man in the world, as well as the most valuable - he is the key to unlocking the secrets of alien technology. Ostracized and friendless, there is only one place left for him to hide: District 9."

I tell ya what. Just from the clips of this movie Rorschach posted yesterday I am way more geeked to see District 9 then I was G.I. Joe. No offense Joe fans. If Peter Jackson produced G.I. Joe it would have been a billion times better then it turned out. Check us out, Jman and Johnny Love, Friday as we head back to the Portage 16 IMAX Theater to review District 9.

Many thanks to Collider.com for providing the above videos and Synopsis.

Actually... I'm kinda wondering that myself, District 9 has nothing to do with comic books. In fact I've notice a lot of articles on the front page lately has nothing to do with comic books.

I remember when this site sported a bland blue and white scheme and the news trickled in maybe three articles a month if that but they all had something in relation to the site's name. Granted articles weren't flooding in on a daily basis but you guys stayed true to your domain name.

I'm not necessarily bitching here but just wondering if the influx of fan sites has deluded this websites initial purpose, to report on comic book movies. Perhaps a reassessment is in order. Sci-Fi, unless it was a comic book first, shouldn't be here. It'd be like going to MotoGP.com to find articles of Le Mans 24hr splashed all over the front page.

Again, I'm not bitching, rather just curious as to how the site has become so watered down with things non-comic book.

whaddup Rorsy-poo?!? so iw as thinking about your post about the worst movie.... and ye are right good sir of Ire Land. But i never saw those other movies and i know this is wierd but i was soooo impressed with Frank Castle in the last Punisher movie i disregarded the rest of the film and drank beer and fooled around with my miss lady at the drive-ins while watching Punisher. I just hate Stinkerine : Origins because Wolvie looked like a dic#! i mean noooo costumes at all! At least Frank Castle looked the part and the script was wayyyyy better than wolvie was. The acting was actually pretty good and i think character per character.... wolvie was just stupiderrrrrrr. but have you heard that IF Keven's moms lips were legs ... She could kick start an Fire Truck? well lemme tell ya Rosco its true! hee hee
