This latest War for the Planet of The Apes TV spot is a little different. Though it does feature some touching new footage from Matt Reeves' film, it also serves to spotlight the great work done by the Jane Goodall Institute, which provides care for rescued chimpanzees, many of whom are victims of the illegal commercial bushmeat and pet trades.

Housed and cared for on three forested island sanctuary sites and a mainland sanctuary site at the Institute's Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Center in Republic of Congo, nearly 150 chimpanzees will benefit from this partnership. Housing on Tchindzoulou Island for rehabilitated chimps will be named "Caesar's Home", after the movie's simian hero.

In ‘War for the Planet of the Apes,’ the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.

Marketing done right, well done Fox.
If you think about this concept, it could sound...ridiculous at first, but...they are actually doing one helluva job with it.
Exploring the right things.
Shit's just too much interesting.

@RancidBane - We hadnt yet learned how shitty humans are as a whole.

@sKeemAn - hahaha I beg to differ. The Roman Empire was a bunch of raping and murdering group, WW1 Germany was a real bag of nuts, WW2 Germany and the Nazis. The World has always been filled with jackasses. Since the dawn of time there has been jerks roaming the world. So you as a person may just now be awakening to the horrible acts humanity has the capability to perform, but the world has been aware since the dawn of time. Nice try though.

@RancidBane - I believe it has more to do with things being understood on personal level. Through the internet/social media we can understand someone's hardship who lives on the other side of the planet. By that regard, know time before this have people been able to connect on such a personal level. Yes, of course we knew our history, but how many of people during those time could not actually understand what others were going through. And we understand that the human race is shitty. So we await our robot overlords, and they will come soon enough.

Great person that Jane Goodall. Can't wait for this film. I love the spin that this series has taken. We seem to side more with the Apes this go around. Very interesting twist from the originals.

Monkey see, monkey do. Perfect analogy in regards to their contentious relationship with the humans. Violence begets more violence
