A third and final trailer for Matt Reeves' War for The Planet of The Apes has been confirmed for tomorrow, and the film's official Twitter account has debuted a creative teaser which you can check out below.

Forgoing the usual approach of simply showing us a few shots from the trailer, this combines footage from the previous movies with black and white flashes of moments from human history, all culminating with Caesar (Andy Serkis) waking from a nightmare. Oh, and that is indeed original Planet of The Apes star Charlton Heston's voice.

In ‘War for the Planet of the Apes,’ the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.

I believe that the best way to end the trilogy and to truly set the course for Planet of the Apes is for them to come full circle.

I want the final scene in the film to be that once Caesar has defeated the humans and killed off most of them, he takes a moment to look at what's become of apes and humanity.

Months later (if they don't kill off Caesar at the end), we see Caesar with a hunting party come across a group of humans and they end up fighting each other. Caesar ends up killing one of the humans, but his face is covered. When the other apes take the humans away as prisoners, Caesar stays back to look at the human he's just killed and removes the hood an scarf covering his face, revealing a much older Will (James Franco).

The screen fades to black as a shocked Caesar breaks down and starts to cry and scream over his father's body. This is the moment when Caesar realizes everything he's done has been a mistake and he can't go back. A mirror ending to the original Planet of the Apes.

@Kr08 - That is a perfect way to end this trilogy! Very Very underrated films! Up there with LOTR and TDK Trilogies respectively.
