"Meet charming and jobless Scott Pilgrim. A bass guitarist for garage band Sex Bob-omb, the 22-year-old has just met the girl of his dreams...literally. The only catch to winning the elusive, mysterious Ramona Flowers is that her seven evil exes are coming to kill him. As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues' gallery from her past - from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsome identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over."

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is out today in the US and will be released on August 25th in the UK!

Sigh...12 more days to go. That's karma paying us Brits back for getting Iron Man 2 and Kick-Ass before you guys, lol! Although, I guess we sort of got the better deal when you think about it! :P

Watched it last night at the midnight screening in Toronto. It'll only truly be appreciated by Scott Pilgrim fans because there are SO many frame for frame and line for line sequences. It was fantastic! Edgar Wright did a masterful job of squeezing 6 books into 2 hours. Michael Cera flew up the ranks of my cool list with his fight sequences in this movie. He was bad ass.

Starlight, it seems like we're getting a lot of clips because that's what this site is for snatching every little bit of info on every CBM out there. If we weren't the super geeks we were and were just regular Joe Schmoes then we'd have regular exposure to this movie and not feel like we've seen it already.

Agree @ starlight - I am getting really turned off by all the clips and trailers. Its like I am being forced to watch this. I think I will download torrent.

@ stumblin - why would anyone want to see a movie that they feel they have already seen. A line has to be drawn expose or over expose. Over exposure to anything is not good except when smoking pot.

DeathSchuldiner, did you read my post or just imagine what I was saying?

I said it feels that way because we're on this site. If we weren't glued to CBM.com then we'd probably get normal exposure to movie and not feel like we see it everywhere. On my TV I see the same one trailer every now and then, not often at all, but on this site yes I see too much of everything on this movie.

And where in my post was I advocating that you should see this movie? I sure as hell don't, maybe you should calm down on smoking trees because you don't seem to understand my very simple post.

My point is I think there haven't been so many CLIPS for other movies as this one, a TRAILER is definetely needed, and maybe a few clips... I think so many are just overwhleming, if you watch them all you're going to end up knowing the whole movie !!! ... and OF COURSE I know you can choose NOT to watch them !

Christ, I swear it's like talking to a brick walls today...

Look, we are comic dorks on a CBM website dedicated to giving us all the scoops on all the movies. So naturally we will see more then the general public. It seems overwhelming to us because we are exposed to more then usual people, think about all the Dark Knight advertisements we've seen and clips, if it wasn't for this site, we probably wouldn't have known half the shit we saw...you and DeathSchuldiner have succeeded in giving me a headache...I need a beer.

I saw it last night at a special screening down in Burbank. It was incredible. "Scott Pilgrim" is one of the few comics I've never read and I still loved it. The whole movie was hilarious and Michael Cera kicked some major ass. If there really was a North American version of "Spaced" this would be what it would have to be and Edgar Wright was the perfect person to bring it to life.

Let it be known... SCOTT PILGRIM will go down in CBM history as one of the greats!

Seriously, why the hell didn't they make it into 2 movies? Have "vs. the World" then "vs. the Universe". Make sense?
