Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings arrives in theaters tonight, and Marvel Studios has dropped another clip that clears a few things up about the movie before we set off to watch it.
While there's been a lot of speculation (based primarily on rumours shared when cameras were still rolling) that Shang-Chi will be forced to compete in a fight tournament to win the Ten Rings, that no longer appears to be the case. Instead, this clip points to him only being there to find his sister, and we get a closer look at some fun cameos in the movie along the way.
We see what appears to be a Black Widow battling someone with Extremis powers (not all of Aldrich Killian's experimental soldiers perished) and another new look at Wong fighting Abomination.
There's nothing too spoilery beyond that, so check this one out in the player below:
"Marvel Studios' 'Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings' stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization," reads a brief synopsis shared by Marvel Studios a couple of months ago.
The movie also stars Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, as well as Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by David Callahan, Destin Daniel Cretton, and Andrew Lanham the movie is currently set to be released exclusively in theaters on September 3, 2021.
