We're now just over a week away from the release of the next Phase 4 Marvel Cinematic Universe adventure, and the official Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Twitter account has shared a pair of new TV spots for the Destin Daniel Cretton-helmed movie.
The first contains snippets of new footage along with some of the highly positive social media reactions (the full review embargo doesn't lift until Monday), but the second is the one to watch - or not, if you want to go in completely spoiler free!
It doesn't reveal that much, but there are a few shots from what we've been led to believe is a pretty crazy final battle involving the Master of Martial Arts and his villainous father's forces. We also get a glimpse of a previously-unseen creature, which suggests the film's fantasy elements will come into play in the final act.
Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization. The film also stars Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, as well as Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng.
Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and produced by Kevin Feige and Jonathan Schwartz, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Charles Newirth serving as executive producers.
