Since Justice League hit theaters, we've heard a lot of conflicting reports about what comes next for the DC Films Universe. Well, one Reddit user has claimed that "sources" at Warner Bros. have told him that the plan is to now shelve these comic book movie and will take five years off from making any more of them until they can figure out where to go next. It sounds pretty damn ridiculous, right?
Well, it's not uncommon to see reports like this do the rounds on various entertainment websites and now Shazam director David F. Sandberg (a regular over on Reddit) has now weighed in on the matter.
"Nobody told me," he responded to the clearly fake claim. "Can I take the day off tomorrow then? I really want to sleep in." As you no doubt already know, Sandberg is hard at work on Shazam, a movie which stars Zachary Levi in the title role. Shooting on that is expected to begin next year and seeing as it's being developed jointly with New Line, it may not be connected to the DC Films Universe anyway.
