SHAZAM! Home Release Is Set To Include 20+ Minutes Of Alternate And Deleted Scenes

Shazam! provided one of this year's biggest surprises when it came to its unexpectedly big heart. Fans are hoping to get even more of it with its 20+ minutes of brand new deleted and extended scenes . . .

Earlier this year, director David F. Sanberg achieved one of the most heartfelt superhero stories in recent memory, focusing on the unique foster family dynamic that is not typically touched on in superhero filmmaking. And as its home release comes closer and closer, new details are being revealed by the director regarding what special features will be included.

Speaking with Collider, Sanberg revealed details on its deleted scenes, though what specific scenes will be included is still up to specualtion:

It’s something like 15 scenes if it all made it on there. I think it’s 20+ min in length but there’s stuff repeated from the movie to give context. Also, a lot of it are alternate scenes so it’s not like you could make a 20-minute longer version of the film.

Like many home releases, most deleted scenes will likely be cut character moments, but we'll have to wait until Shazam! hits Digital HD July 2, 2019

this film should've made more than it did imo .... it was better than Capt Marvel but nothing close to that Train called ENDGAME.... hopefully DC continuous to trend in better films first and keep the streak going .

While I had sooome issues it was definitely one of the better DCEU films. DC was really hurt by Snyder.

I would love Shazam to the cornerstone of a JSA branch of the DCEU:

Shazam
Black Adam
Hawkman
Blue Beetle/Booster Gold
Dr. Fate
JSA

Loved Shazam. Can't wait to see it again on home video. The ending fight is one of my favorites in any superhero movie.

Me and the fam absolutely enjoyed Shazam. And I loved the chemistry of the foster parents and kids.

And how can you fault the Teleportation Test but secretly the Fire Test scene haha

Honestly, I had so much fun watching all the trailers and clips from this movie that when I actually went to see it, it just didn't hit me as hard because I felt like I already saw the whole damn thing. As of right now:

1. Wonder Woman
2. Man of Steel
3. Shazam!
4. Aquaman
5. Batman v. Superman
6. Justice League
7. Suicide Squad
