Earlier this year, director David F. Sanberg achieved one of the most heartfelt superhero stories in recent memory, focusing on the unique foster family dynamic that is not typically touched on in superhero filmmaking. And as its home release comes closer and closer, new details are being revealed by the director regarding what special features will be included.
Speaking with Collider, Sanberg revealed details on its deleted scenes, though what specific scenes will be included is still up to specualtion:
It’s something like 15 scenes if it all made it on there. I think it’s 20+ min in length but there’s stuff repeated from the movie to give context. Also, a lot of it are alternate scenes so it’s not like you could make a 20-minute longer version of the film.
Like many home releases, most deleted scenes will likely be cut character moments, but we'll have to wait until Shazam! hits Digital HD July 2, 2019
