While all eyes are currently on Captain Marvel, there's another Captain Marvel on the way shortly after: Shazam! Now, a magazine cover has been released alongside some brand new stills.
Pictured below are Zachary Levi's Shazam alongside the villainous Dr. Sivana (Mark Strong) and foster brother Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer). That cover is particularly cool and without text, it could make for an awesome poster.
"The goal is to make Shazam! feel like, in some ways, that fun ’80s movie, like John Hughes or Back to the Future," director David F. Sandberg tells the magazine. "It’s just one of those movies that hopefully you’ll want to see over and over again. And also, it takes place at Christmas. It’s one of those where you go, ‘Oh, let’s watch this every Christmas!' Hopefully."
While Shazam! is currently being envisioned as a standalone movie, the door is reportedly open to crossovers according to Levi.
"That would be amazing!" the actor enthusiastically exclaims when asked about a team-up with the Justice League. "Shazam would fit. The person he’d be closest to is The Flash because of their youth and humour. And we’ve gotta have Shazam and Superman interactions. They’re, like, the same, but totally different..."
