While all eyes are currently on Captain Marvel, there's another Captain Marvel on the way shortly after: Shazam! Now, a magazine cover has been released alongside some brand new stills.

Pictured below are Zachary Levi's Shazam alongside the villainous
Dr. Sivana (Mark Strong) and foster brother Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer). That cover is particularly cool and without text, it could make for an awesome poster.

"The goal is to make Shazam! feel like, in some ways, that fun ’80s movie, like John Hughes or Back to the Future," director David F. Sandberg tells the magazine. "It’s just one of those movies that hopefully you’ll want to see over and over again. And also, it takes place at Christmas. It’s one of those where you go, ‘Oh, let’s watch this every Christmas!' Hopefully."

While Shazam! is currently being envisioned as a standalone movie, the door is reportedly open to crossovers according to Levi.

"That would be amazing!" the actor enthusiastically exclaims when asked about a team-up with the Justice League. "Shazam would fit. The person he’d be closest to is The Flash because of their youth and humour. And we’ve gotta have Shazam and Superman interactions. They’re, like, the same, but totally different..."

I think it's fair to call every DCEU release "DC's New Hope"

@SpideyPuffsMJ - Aquaman is making a Billi, this one will be a hit with the family and general audience, plus Joker 6 months later .. i think the days of DC movies being viewed as lesser than will be over.

When I saw the trailers for both Aquaman and Shazam, it was the Shazam one that had me the most interested.
Really looking forward to this movie, looks like it's going to be a fun ride.

Now that we have 2 Major Superstars in the DCEU with
Wonder Woman and Aquaman

Hopefully Shazam makes a third

and if we get a Man of Steel 2 and The Batman

We can possible see a Justice League sequel in a few years
