SHAZAM's Zachary Levi Shows A Small Glimpse Of His Muscular Physique On Social Media

Everyone knew former Chuck star Zachary Levi would have to bulk up to play Captain Marvel in WB's upcoming Shazam! movie but a recent Instagram post shows that he's also packing on lean muscle.

Zachary Levi's Shazam might be a lean, muscle-bound champion of might instead of the character's traditionally burly aesthetic. Nevertheless, the Psych actor is certainly making "gains" in the gym as it appears he's doing a clean-bulk rather than a dirty-bulk (there's a little bro-lifting terminology for you).  Levi's latest Instagram post reveals that he's packing on lean muscle as opposed to quickly bulking up his overall mass and then trying to shed excess fat (what's referred to as cutting).

With filming underway, expect a first look at DC Comics' Captain Marvel sooner rather than later.

Asher Angel will portray Billy Batson, the teenage counterpart in the 2019 Shazam! movie that's directed by David F. Sandberg and written by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke.

Henry Cavill's Superman and Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam are both rumored to cameo in the film which sets up Mark Strong's Doctor Sivana as the primary antagonist.

@Saga, @Battabing - could be one way they get Cavill to show up in the movie, though.

I think he's going to own this role. I like the casting of him the more I see of him.

I honestly don't care if an actor gets super-ripped for these roles, in the same way that I don't care if an actor does their own stunts or not. If you can pull off the look of the hero with costuming or special effects, that's good enough for me.

If you really have to have a shirtless scene, I don't even mind the whole "Chris Evan's head on another actor's body" thing they did to make him look puny as pre-transformation Steve Rogers, but in reverse... Hire a muscle-man and slap the actor's face on him for all I care. If it's convincing on film, that's enough.

In theory that's fine but we could end up with another digitally removing a moustache scenario.

In all seriousness that’s pretty impressive from where he started off but still, Shazam should be bulky, not lean and shredded.

I thought it was that first pic and thought Wonder Woman would put him to shame lol.

With his naturally slim physique he'll probably end up looking similar to the way Cavill did in Immortals or Paul Rudd in Antman.
Also I'm sure there will be some movie magic with his costume etc

Also loved the following from @MarkJulian, ".......rather than a dirty-bulk (there's a little bro-lifting terminology for you)....."
Gave the article some character.

Although I'm sure that there are a lot of actors on Vitamin T or HGH.

You cannot understand a single word I say
But you manage to hear every word anyway
Your eyes they always seem to be fixed on me
But not for love but for misery
You say nothing yet still I hear
I am the thing that you most fear
I cause the pain deep in your heart
Oh, how I love to tear your world apart
Well, I feel your pain and I survive
And I survive
I see your anger, I can hardly wait
How it feels so good to cause you such hate
Tried to ignore me, thought I'd go away
But I'm back for good, I'm here to stay
You say nothing yet still I hear
I am the thing that you most fear
I cause the pain deep in your heart
Oh, how I love to tear your world apart
Well, I feel your pain and I survive
You say nothing yet still I hear
I am the thing that you most fear
I cause the pain deep in your heart
Oh, how I love to tear your world apart
Well, I feel your pain and I survive
And I survive, survive
You thought that you could get the best of me
To put me down it seemed so easily
I take such pride in the work I do
You hoped I'd fail but I'm not like you
You say nothing yet still I hear
I am the thing that you most fear
I cause the pain deep in your heart
Oh, how I love to tear your world apart
Well, I feel your pain and I survive
I feel your pain so I survive

@blackandyellow Definitely a lot more than most people think, also there's many different types of Steroids out there, along with HGH as well.
I'll also add the Instagram and youtube fitness celebs to the list as well.

@knocturnalzen10 - That's why I have more respect for the everyday person who trains, their physiques might not be as good but they put more effort around it along with work and a family life.

@blackandyellow - HGH isn’t actually very common as it’s effects on organ size are permanent but Anabolic steroids are quite common
