BOX OFFICE: SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR Kicks Off Run With Only $475,000
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For kicked off its North American run with less than half a million dollars yesterday evening, and should finish at #2. However, it still faces stiff competition from Guardians of the Galaxy and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is set to finish behind soppy teen flick If I Stay this weekend after a disappointing $475,000 debut yesterday evening. The Sin City sequel comes nine years after the first movie, and while that one did some solid numbers with a $29.1 million debut, this follow-up will likely finish somewhere in the mid-teens. As of right now, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For looks set to battle it out with football drama When the Game Stands Tall for #2, but depending on how things pan out, both of those movies could face some serious competition from Marvel and James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy and the Michael Bay produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, now in their third and fourth weeks, respectively. Are you planning on seeing Sin City: A Dame to Kill For this weekend?
