The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

@SuspenseSmith Amen my brova. Why people have to put down other people prefrences is stupid and juvenile. They are basically bitching about whos imaginary character is better.

the webshooters are just a way to show that Peter is a super genius. He was 15 and he was a super hero now, it was sweet to make those so that he could kick ass. It was stated in the comic that he didn't reverse engineer them because people would know it came from spidey and would trace it back to him.

If you still read spidey you will know that he now reverse engineers all his new inventions that he makes to beat bad guys into new tech to help the world.

Also if they did show that maybe he didn't completely come up with the webbing formula, they could go the ultimate spidey route, Peter went through his dads old work papers (his dad being a genius scientist) and used an adhesive formula that his dad was working on for the base of his webbing formula. His dad's formula was basically a super strong stretchy glue type thing, i would look it up if i wasn't so lazy and it has been a long time since i read that issue of ultimate spidey.

The photoshop and photography on these things are terrible. Does he have Salt-shooters here?

Oh well, First Class had terrible promo pics too and the film turned out ok. Guess we'll see.

It's like they changed the costume for the sake of changing the costume. I'm a fan of this movie already (or trying hard to be), but I really do hate aspects of the suit. The absence of the belt just looks silly. Hard to believe that got past everyone with all of them going, "YEAH! AWESOME!"
