CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Said To Be Moving Ahead Without SPIDER-MAN

While there's still every chance that Spider-Man could end up joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a new report claims that the ship has sailed and work is now moving ahead on a Captain America: Civil War which will not include Peter Parker. Hit the jump for details on that and more!

Badass Digest have apparently reached out to their Marvel sources about the chances of Spider-Man appearing in Captain America: Civil War, and the answer they received might just disappoint you! As of right now, it's said that the "ship has sailed" and Peter Parker is not factored into the current iteration of this movie. They add that the chances of a cameo or after-credits appearance is still there, but a major role seems extremely unlikely. After all, Marvel need a completed story and script before shooting begins and can't change the whole thing at the last minute if a deal is reached with Sony Pictures at some point in the New Year! The site also reports that, "One of my sources reiterates that Winter Soldier will be central to the story, and that there have been hints planted through the Marvel movies as to how that works." Is Tony Stark about to discover that Steve Rogers' best friend murdered his parents? For now, we'll have to wait and see...

Good, they have a great puzzle forming already with Black Panther and Bucky. No need to start a brand new one.

Yet.

Fine. It would be overcrowded if Spidey and his universe take part in the movie

Feel like a shoe horned Spider-Man cameo might cheapen Civil War, which is sure to be incredible

Still rooting for an after-credits scene with Spidey.

While i do believe that it is probably for the best since they prehaps are not even able to get him to Januari (if the rumors are true that Kevin Fiege is going to meeting about getting Spidey) and it take's a while to get an actor.. And the movie is supposed to start shooting april or may (correct me if i'm wrong) But as @Batz11 say... They will probably use him if they got him since they know that Spidey in MCU = bigger boxoffice since fans has begged for it in ages

People hoping Spidey is in CIVIL WAR in a major part, umm yeah sometimes the story can suffer when you shoehorn characters into it that otherwise have no place in it. (See ScarJo/Jackson in IRON MAN 2.)

It would be awesome if they can fit Spidey in - even for a cameo towards the end.

@Brokenhood - If you think CA:Civil War will be crowded, wait until Infinity Gauntlet....That's going to be really crowded, but in a GREAT way!!!

I'm guessing that TWS' role in CIVIL WAR is rather simple. Cap and Stark may quabble over registration, but they won't fight each other over it. But if we have a situation where Stark wants revenge against TWS for killing his parents and Cap wants to save his friend....yeah that's your breaking point between the two when it does come to blows.

marvel dont give a [frick]!!

marvel doesnt need him. but when civil war is out sony is gonna regret being part of a billion dollar movie. spiderman could be huge again if sony would just do something right.

i dont get why they dont wanna... in their playstation department they are fine going cross platform with the pc.
