Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe has said that he was vying to play the lead in Spiderman. The 20-year-old star was very keen on playing the web-throwing superhero.
“I was always unbelievably jealous of Tobey Maguire playing Spidey,” the Daily Star quoted Daniel, as saying.
A new Spider-Man film is currently in development- with film bosses taking the character back to high school.
In the same interview Radcliffe admitted he’s downbeat that the Potter series is coming to an end. He said: “I’m going to be devastated. It’s going to be very, very sad because it’s been such an important part of my life.”
